There's something captivating about working out how many voices are actually singing at once in Wu Lyf's latest single We Bros. Is it one... two...? Maybe more? It's almost as if the band are calling out into the depths of an echo chamber and holding out a mic to capture what comes fleeting back.
And that's what We Bros in essence is - the capturing of something fascinatingly untamed, but nevertheless utterly absorbing. The soaring guitar lines trip and cascade off each-other, like a waterfall of finger-picked perfection.
Hailing from Manchester, the band have much to live up to, to cut out their own place among their musical forefathers - but We Bros is most certainly the tool to do so. It's gorgeous.
And we'll take this opportunity to say how much we love the title of the band's debut album: Go Tell Fire To The Mountain. It just trips off your tongue - gorgeous.
