Introducing... Mohombi
For those with a penchant for high-powered euro-pop, this one's definitely for you. Swedish-Congolese singer Mohombi is the latest in a series of Cherry Tree stars to leap from the Red One hit factory; his Nicole Scherzinger collab Coconut Tree (amazing enough sheerly because of its title) is a gloriously indulgent slab of dance-pop magic.
If Akon was still making decent records, they'd sound like this (so much so, the man himself actually features on Mohombi's track Dirty Situation).
2011 has already seen the UK looking to the rest of Europe for club smashes - just look at the runaway success of Mr Saxobeat for proof of point - and Mohombi is more than set up to do likewise.
Carefree party vibes are this guy's middle-name, and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see drunken revellers downing shots to the likes of Bumpy Ride next year.
If you need some Mohombi in your life this November though, he'll be in London on the 25th for an exclusive fan event - all the details are on his Facebook page.
