Anchorsong - Ghost Touch
Frantic, twitchy, spidery - Huw Stephens' championed track Ghost Touch is all this and more. The brainchild of Japense multi-instrumentalist Anchorsong, the song feels as surreal as it is surprising - as the bass creeps in over the insect-like beat, the track takes on an altogether slinkier vibe.
In the loosest sense of the word, you could bag it up in the bracket of electronica, but that'd be doing the track an injustice. It's far more an explosion - or rather a blooming - of wonder, of fascination, all encapsulated in two and a half minutes of adventurous experimentation.
The song's b-side Plum Rain is also available as a free download here.
