Red Sky July - Morning Song

The morning is traditionally a time of beginnings - the start to the new day, the hope of exciting new prospects to come. As the first single from Red Sky July's debut album, those hopes seem particularly relevant.

Channelling the most delicate of country melodies and folk whimsy, Morning Song started life as a track called Pretty Thing, an apt name for something so inherently beautiful in its simplicity. It's also an alluring introduction to the band's self titled debut that expands and develops the tenderness of Morning Song into a truly absorbing experience.

The members of Red Sky July have an esteemed heritage too, comprised as they are of Shelly Poole (Alisha's Attic), Ally McErlaine (Texas) and Charity Hair (The Ailerons).

Morning Song is released on the 31st October.
