One of the real joys of Katy B's debut album was that it flipped effortlessly between synth driven uber-pop and acid-laced trippyness at the drop of a hat - even better, Katy excelled at both.
The run of singles up till now has represented one of the strongest, most consistent forces in pop right now, testament to an LP that deserved every inch of its Mercury nominated status.
Movement, truth be told though, feels more like a chilled interlude than single proper. For me, of the tracks not released as singles, it is album-opener Power On Me - all dark, driving rhythms - that would have been the ideal next single.
In Movement, we have Katy pulling on her best trip-pop vibes - in the grip of winter, the track's hazy summer-spilled spring seems a little out of place, and at only 2.41, it's teasingly short. A come-down, if anything, to the tour de force that is On A Mission. But one that can end the night fulfilled, content.
