The latest single to be cut from critically acclaimed Warp records artiste Rustie, Surph is a live-wire delving into the textural capacities of the synthesizer. It’s part eclectic retro videogame soundtrack, part trance ambience – combined, Surph is a wave-like entity of ebbs and flows that leeches into you like a creature born of modulators and sine waves. It’s dance music with a brain, electronica with a heart, and Surph is as good as place as any to make an entry into Rustie’s world of digitally enabled innovativity.
