Rebecca Ferguson - Glitter & Gold
In much the same way as Emeli Sande's Next To Me has turned out to be something of a real slow burner of a big hit, Rebecca Ferguson's Glitter & Gold very much makes a sort of obvious choice as the next single from her Heaven album. Rocking that same Aloe Blacc-styled piano riffing, it struts with a soulful elegance that's the very epitome of the poise and grace with which Rebecca has charmed the nation. It's all class, all the wonder of the Motown diva recaptured for a new audience. It's the mark of a real star that puts a stopper in the pipe of anyone who still touts that X Factor doesn't produce 'proper' talent.
There's also going to be a Cahill mix of it, which we reckon will be just as brilliant as the Seamus Haji version of Too Good To Lose was.
Glitter & Gold is released on the 30th April.
