Nero - Crush
Tuning in to mainstream radio these days, it's impossible not to be practically bowled over by the onslaught of dance/dub-step on offer.
These days, when it's even working its way through to the most commercial of pop tracks, you know the genre is 'where it's happening', so to speak.
Producers Nero lie at the forefront of this revolution, the mega-success of their album Welcome Reality speaking for itself.
Their tracks are the kind of instant-appeal dancefloor fodder that contain that innate ability to propel people up out of their seats and into the kind of moves you'd normally only expect on the most epic of Saturday night drinkathons.
But no, Nero's mission statement is without a doubt getting people to dance, anytime, anywhere. And so, across the country, they have rolled out their brand of impeccably produced anthems, of which Crush must surely be the next in line.
With a vocal hook imported from a Jets song of all places, all the radio-friendly loveliness is apparent from the first listen. Predictable? Perhaps. But when working to the stellar Nero formula - a method that sounds so effortlessly good every time - that doesn't really matter.
The album, Welcome Reality, is available to purchase now.
