Twist And Pulse - Jump
As one series of Britain's Got Talent draws to a close, it's always a good idea to look back at some of the past highlights from the show. Who could forget dance supremos Twist And Pulse? While they might sound like the instructions for using your new kitchen blender, they're actually two incredibly skilled dancers who wowed the nation with their footwork and colour-coordinated outfits.
It was a recipe for success - since their first appearance on the show they've racked up an incredible 10 million hits on YouTube. Quite literally A Lot Of People.
And now they're releasing an actual single. The track, Jump, is all twitchy electro samples and features the Twist and Pulse boys rapping - oh, and as would befit a Britain's Got Talent dance act, it's got a rather good beat too.
As the most recent BGT series proved, there's such a thing as too many dance troupes, and after what seemed like the millionth one huddled onto the stage, I'm sure I'm not the only one that breathed a sigh of desperation at the hopefuls attempting to copy what had previously done so well in the show.
Watching Twist And Pulse's Daybreak performance of Jump though, it's hard not to be impressed. Their talent is undeniable and in many ways, the fact that they're just two people, not twenty, gives them far more appeal. There's more focus, more intensity, and as Jump proves; more potential for them to make the most of a single release.
The boys are also heading out on tour in August with fellow twosome Jedward. Now, we don't know about you, but that sounds like a particularly lively line-up - so we hope you've got lots of energy; you'll definitely need it if you go.
Jump is released on the 3rd July - The track's official video can be viewed on YouTube here.
