The Sun Explodes - Honour Bound

At five and a half minutes long, Honour Bound is given more than ample freedom to explore a full capacity of rock virtuosity in a thrilling showcase that does well to present the many facets of tempestuous quintet The Sun Explodes. It's a track that strains at the concept of limits, knocking down feeble genre barriers with sledgehammer-like abandon. Insanely tight guitar-work presents itself in the form of needling solos that collapse away into crunching riffs, building up confident foundations for the song to push onward from. As a sort of lean, mean, streamlined version of Enter Shikari - the song even boasts an Eastern tinged trance blow-out that erupts out with all the ferocity befitting a band called The Sun Explodes. The group are heading out on tour across the UK in April, with their debut album Emergence following up on the 7th May.

Bitter Ruin - Trust

Bitter Ruin's Trust is a big, powerful, acoustic number - a real throwback to Beautiful South boy/girl vocal dynamism.

The verses are stately, slow - the chorus is the polar opposite, insanely fast; an unleashed torrent of emotional outpouring.

The Brighton duo - Ben Richards and Georgia Train - met at music school, and there's a definite sense of that theatricality to their rapid-fire vocal interchanges.

A full UK tour is lined up for August and September and the band have already picked up an unlikely fan in immensely popular comedian Tim Minchin, who branded them 'AH-mazing'.

Trust is released on the 3rd October.

Jessie J's new tour dates

Everyone loves Jessie J right now. Even if you're not the biggest fan of her music, there's something so wonderfully charming and down to earth about her personality that you can't help but fall for her a little.

It's also fair to say she's had Quite A Lot of success this year already with her first three singles storming up the charts - her latest, Nobody's Perfect is finally out 'properly' this week with some bonus remixes/alternate versions on iTunes.

Best of all though is that the delightful Jessie has announced a whole heap of new UK tour dates. The rush for her last tour was absolutely mad; venues like London were sold out in under fifteen minutes - so if you didn't manage to catch her last time, now's your chance - just remember to be quick!

And just as a footnote, it's amazing to see Jessie already including an arena date on her tour like Cardiff - a real sign of how far she's already come.

Miley, we'd love you to come and tour in the UK!

Amazing popstar and all round awesome person Miley Cyrus has been speaking to American news agency The AP about plans for her new world tour. The chain of gigs in support of her Can't Be Tamed album kicks off in Ecuador at the end of April and includes 13 South American dates before she moves on to 7 dates in Australia in July.

Miley explained she had no immediate plans to tour her home country of the US though, saying: "I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don't know if they want me to tour or not. Right now I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love and Australia and South America have done that for me."

Well, can I be the first to say to you Miley, here in the UK we absolutely love you! Miley's 2009 Wonder Word Tour was incredible, and going to see it at one of the five dates she did at London's O2 arena, I can testify that it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen at the venue. Can't Be Tamed was amongst my Top Five favourite albums of last year and to see all the new tracks performed live is a must. Her GAY performance gave a taste of what we might expect and the thought of that transposed up to an arena scale is all very exciting. So yes, Miley, please come and tour in the UK again!
