If you're already aware of hot new girlgroup Fanfair, you'll have no doubt seen their fab 'Get The Look!' videos in partnership with Collection 2000.
So we can expect more from both the girls and the beauty/cosmetics brand in 2012 as Fanfair take to the road in Feb/March supporting the Wanted on their massive UK arena tour. Exciting times!
The girls have had a showbiz packed calendar lately, attending the premiere of new Daniel Craig The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and we can't wait to see them looking suitably glamtastic on tour, delighting fans everywhere with their perky pop tunes. We're loving their track Miracle at the moment, and you can hear a little taster of it below:
Now how's this for an ace pop line-up? Not only do you get everyone's fave boy-band The Wanted in an epic arena setting, but supporting them will be one of the hottest up and coming girl groups, Fanfair! We've covered them a lot on the blog in the past and are overjoyed to hear they'll be teaming up with the boys to bring you guys an awesome show.
The tour kicks off in February next year, so there's plenty of time to book tickets if you haven't already done so. This follows a number of summer dates the girls supported The Wanted, but this tour sees them really stepping up to the big time with an assortment of great pop tunes to match the boys' own.
Our fave new girlband on the block Fanfair have turned out another great acoustic version - this time it's one of their brand new tracks As I Am.
Showcasing the girls' beautiful vocal harmonies, As I Am shows a real maturity to the group and positions them as a band with real substance as well as the good-time fun of their previous live track, The Vaccine.
A bittersweet ode to personal insecurities the track abounds with lines confessing the pressures a girl has to put up with these days: 'there's a woman in the mirror and I'm wondering will you love her... take me as I am because I can only be me'.
It's heartfelt stuff and we love this stripped back, sensitive take on the track!
Being busy girls, the band have also recorded some special how-to make-up vids in conjunction with leading brand Collection 2000. You can watch Roberta and Aimee's videos on the band's official YouTube page.
For the latest in the series of Fanfair's cheery acoustic versions, they take things right back to the start with a new version of the first song they ever recorded together.
If you've not heard The Vaccine before, it's a deliciously flirty number, all cheeky innuendo and bluesy guitar.
After all, it's hard not to like a song featuring a chorus of: 'we're loving daily fixes of your intravenous kisses'.

As the summer months fall away and winter begins to creep in, it's fair to say we'd all like a bit more sun in our lives. Good job that up and coming girl group Fanfair have done a rather nice cover of Labrinth's Let The Sun Shine then!

We like new girl group Fanfair a lot. We wrote a bit about them and their brilliant track The Vaccineback in March, and since then, things have been hotting up rather nicely for them.
All this has culminated in a slot for them supporting those endearing lads The Wanted at a massive gig in Scotland's Hamilton Park on the 22nd July. The British summer has always been a brilliant excuse to get together with mates for a few drinks and a bit of a party, and anyone heading up to the gig can count on a suitable injection of pop fun too.
Meanwhile, the band - comprised of Roberta, Anara, Jessica and Aimee - have been busy recording new tracks in Sweden, which we can't wait to hear!

I have to say, I'm intrigued by new girl-band Fanfair. Going to university in Reading, I get a copy of the highly informative Reading Post through my door every Friday and for the past couple of weeks they've been running adverts featuring Fanfair, in association with their partnership with local rugby team London Irish.
What Fanfair represent is a fascinating way of hopefully breaking into the pop scene. By performing at London Irish home games as well as being promoted on the rugby team's website and TV channel, they have instant exposure to thousands of potential fans. Not bad going for Jessica, Roberta, Anara and Aimee; who make up the group.
So, with a ready-made promotional avenue and model-like looks (just check out the photos on their website), what does their music sound like? Their debut track The Vaccine is a throbbing electro number, perfect for the stadium environment they are being launched straight into. Remember Hilary Duff's Depeche Mode-sampling Reach Out? Well Fanfair's The Vaccine is like that but with about ten times more oomph. The whole track is suitably fun and frisky, featuring the rather amazing line 'We're loving daily fixes of your intravenous kisses boy'. There's also a cheery cover of The Boys Are Back In Town on their site too, again, just the sort of thing to get you in the mood for an afternoon of rugby.
There's a nice little interview with the band on Bracknell News and it also serves to remind you that these girls are playing to the likes of 60,000 people per game. If you're looking to get your band out there, then that's certainly one way to do it. Managed by former Syco employee Dan Parker, it sounds like they've got a good pair of hands behind the steering wheel too.
I'm looking forward to hearing more from Fanfair as, let's be honest, the more girl-bands in the world, the better. And as a local, I feel like I owe it to them too.
