Dragonette - Let It Go (Laidback Luke Remix)
As we established last week, Dragonette's new single Let It Go is one of the best synth-pop tracks doing the rounds at the moment - and for those seeking to up its electro-factor a bit, you're in luck. The Laidback Luke mix is a bit of a revelation, positioning Martina's vocal amidst a rumbling, grinding onslaught of riffs that positively flip out of the speakers with ecstatic glitchiness. There's a bit, about two and a half minutes into the mix, where everything properly 'goes off' and it's like the song's been tossed into a whirlpool of production effects and electronic tomfoolery, and through sheer, blinding chance has emerged as something of insanely danceable proportons. Or maybe that's just Laidback Luke's considerable talents coming up trumps again - either way, we're fans.
Let It Go is released on the 2nd April.

Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know [Bright Light Bright Light Remix]
We were thinking, wouldn't it be brilliant if someone did a raved up mixed of the Gotye track (you know, that one that's sold an insane amount of copies this year). Well, our prayers were answered in the form of the Bright Light Bright Light mix which totally transforms the acoustic snoozathon into a groovy early 90s themed work-out. There's touches of Madonna's sublime Bedtime Story and all those amazing K-Klass mixes to it, and quite frankly, we love it!

The Saturdays - The Way You Watch Me (2nd Adventure Mix)
While its status as the Saturdays' next single now looks non-existant, we'll always hold a bit of a torch for excellent On Your Radar standout The Way You Watch Me. And in this dance-up raveathon courtesy of 2nd Adventure, the track gets a second life as a pumped-up floorfiller. There's a bit of a Rhythm Is A Dancer vibe underpinning the whole thing, which we really like too.

The Saturdays - 'If This Is Lady Love' Modjo mash-up
I love a good mash-up. I also love those ever-delightful Saturday girls. And in this dizzying, melting pot of a thing we call pop, throwing a bit of everything into the mix can quite often bring about the most surprisingly satisfying of results.
After hearing the Saturdays mash-up mix of their debut single If This Is Love on tour, I've become a little obsessed with tracking down some 'extra' version of it that exists beyond the bootleg live footage recorded by fans on pocket cameras during the live shows.
And so I came to stumble across this little number of YouTube - It's The Saturdays' If This Is Love mixed with Modjo's No. 1 hit Lady from the turn of the Millennium. Quite simply amazing. It's every bit as spacey and disco-tastic as the version they performed on tour, a fitting tune for any New Year rave-up occurring over the coming weeks!
Of course, what needs to happen next is for this mix to be then combined with this one (Moves Like Lady Jagger) for something of universe shattering proportions. When the Saturdays performed their very own mash-up on their On Your Radar tour, it was one of the undoubtedly highlights of the show - the hope now is that, in some format and by some means, the mix gets an official studio release.
(And speaking of the Saturdays, how amazing is the above photo - taken in 2007 before the release of their debut single - though it looks for all of the world like they've taken a trip in the TARDIS back to the mid 90s... Pop at its most colourful and brilliant)

Nicola Roberts - Lucky Day / Rhythm Is A Dancer [Mash-Up]
What could be even better than Nicola Roberts' stunning dream-pop single Lucky Day? How about a remixed, mash-up version courtesy of production supremos Thriller Jill (let's not forget they delivered that jaw-droppingly amazing version of Girls Aloud's Love Is The Key).
When it comes to a good mash-up, there's certain tracks you just can't go wrong with, and one of those is Snap!'s 90s classic Rhythm Is A Dancer. Even now, nearly two decades after its original release, if the track drops on a dancefloor, people will go absolutely mental for it. Guaranteed.
So, paired up with Nicola's Lucky Day, we have a new, pumped up version of the track - all bonkers 90s synths and the kind of perfect chorus us long-time Nicola fans always dreamed of her conjuring up.
Pop lovers, get your dancing shoes on - this is a good one.
