The Saturdays - Forever Is Over (Lake Aurora dub-step remix)

What with The Saturdays delving into dub-step on their latest album On Your Radar (like everyone else in pop seems to be doing at the moment) someone called Lake Aurora seems to have hit upon the idea of giving one of their older hits (the brilliant Forever Is Over) a dub-step rework - the results are pretty decent!

And while we're on the topic of Saturdays remixes, this pitch-shifted male vocal version of All Fired Up entertained and amused me in equal measures. Basically, imagine the track as done by a boyband...

Those that know me will know what a massive fan of The Saturdays' lovely Rochelle Wiseman I am, and this live performance of the track is a bit of a treat.

While Vanessa's been feeling under the weather, the Saturdays have been soldiering on as a foursome, meaning Rochelle steps in to do Vanessa's lines in All Fired Up.

Here, she's on fine form - properly fierce, giving the track every bit of energy it deserves.

Judging by the iTunes charts right now, All Fired Up looks set to be a serious contender for next Sunday's Number One slot.

The question is, can it hold Pixie Lott and Leona Lewis at bay?

The Saturdays - All Fired Up (Space Cowboy Remix)

Last week we brought you the sublime Extended Xenomania remix of The Saturdays' new single All Fired Up.

For those looking for more of a more 'partying in Ibiza, out of your mind on insane shots' vibe, the Space Cowboy mix (he's worked with Lady Gaga!) will be right up your alley.

Beats collide with the force of a truck hitting a wall, vocals shoot up and down, tweaked and autotuned out of all sense of normality and sunny synth riffs spill all over this version of the track. We like.

When it comes to TV performances of your brand new single, The Saturdays sure know a thing or two.

Last night's spellbinding All Fired Up routine on John Barrowman's entertaining Tonight's The Night was a case in point, a real good old fashioned proper pop 'moment' - the kind of thing you'd tune in especially to Top Of The Pops or CDUK to watch in days gone by.

With more lasers than a Star Trek movie and the girls looking super-hot all in black (My God are Una Healy's legs amazing!), the girls showed just why their upcoming arena tour is going to be one of the highlights of the year.

A new Saturdays video is always guaranteed to be hot. It's a fact. A basic principle. A law of physics.

Beyond that though, the possibilities are endless. And with a track as bewilderingly epic as dance-athon All Fired Up, the freedom and potential to create all manner of amazing-visual-spectacle is there for the taking.

Now, we're currently getting super-excited over the fact there's going to be an 'Extended' Xenomania mix of the track. You need only look to past masterpieces such as this and this to get an idea of how important this is.

Back to the video - for a song that is in many ways The Saturdays own unique take on a Sexy No No No style UberPop stomper, the video too goes down that route of glossy, black latex glad girls. For the Sats, it's new, edgy and artier than they've ever been before - they writhe seductively, dancing across a watery floor.

It's pretty mesmerizing stuff - bold and massively colourful, like every aspect of the single itself. A thing of many parts, a creature of constantly evolving power and possibility.

Oh, and we're absolutely addicted to Una's 'keep me on your radar...' outro.

The Saturdays - All Fired Up

When I first heard Girls Aloud's masterpiece Sexy! No, No, No... I loved it right away. That feeling of eagerly listening in to a radio show, tuning in especially just to hear the new single from one of your favourite bands... there's nothing like it.

And so Sexy! No, No, No... became one of those rare songs that I absolutely loved from the out. No need for it to grow on me, the infatuation was there from the start - and the song remains to this date my favourite Girls Aloud single.

It brings me great pleasure then to be able to say that I'm experiencing all the same emotions with The Saturdays' spell-binding new single All Fired Up.

Initial reports and 30 second preview clips made it clear the track was a hyper-upbeat floorfiller, but hearing the full thing played on Radio 1 today, calling it merely a 'floorfiller' would be an understatement.

All Fired Up is positively alive, blasting away anything in its path with atomic levels of power and punch. Launching straight into the chorus straight from an ambient, moody intro, the Xenomania influence is clear.

For years the thoughts of The Sats working with Xenomania existed as a kind of Holy Grail of pop, a collaboration that seemed logical seeing as the band launched off the back of touring with Girls Aloud.

But of course, Xenomania in 2011 is in many ways a rather different creature to when dear Girls Aloud were putting out Tangled Up and Out Of Control, and it shows in All Fired Up. The DNA of tracks like Sexy! No, No, No... are there in the song; whether it be the structure, vocodered vocals or hectic pace. But it's an evolution of that sound - a FutureXenomania; a sleek space-rocket of pop amazingness that blasts away to stratospheric heights.

All Fired Up is the pop dance anthem to end all pop dance anthems - If there was a time when The Sats might finally claim that No. 1 single which is so overdue for them, then it is now.

With flirty, playful lyrics like 'we make the party super-naughty', All Fired Up is just as irresistible  - if not more so - as its forerunner Notorious was. And then there's Mollie's uber-cute 'We're all animal!' chant, oh, and Una's inspired 'Keep me on your radar...' outro, quite possibly my favourite bit from the song.

All Fired Up's real charm is that it channels repitition in a way that is impossibly exciting - by the time the song's finished you feel like you've already heard it ten times - and that's a good thing as it's So Damn Great!

This represents a big step for The Saturdays - in its entirety it sounds like nothing they've done before, yet zooming in, it stands as a very natural progression from what they began in Missing You and Notorious - now brought to full fruition.

It's The Saturdays go trance - and quite simply it sounds as brilliant in reality as it does on paper.

The Saturdays announce their 'All Fired Up' UK arena tour dates!

We've known for a long time now that The Saturdays are set to treat us to a poptastic arena tour this December, and today Capital FM revealed the complete list of dates on their website.

This marks the first arena tour for The Saturdays and follows on from their fantastic Headlines theatre tour earlier this year.

Ticketmaster has also revealed some further details about the Manchester date of the tour - tickets here will be priced between £31.45 and £38.

The tour dates are as follows:
